Advanced Tactics!

I found out about a little trick that anyone doing mass seo like me will be interested in.

If you have built your own blog network on different IP's for backlinking juice to your main site then stop Yahoo from indexing them.

So, why do this?

Well, if Yahoo doesn't index them then your competition won't be able to see where your backlinks come from. They will all be sitting around scratching their heads wondering why a guy with 0 backlinks has taken #1 spot on a competitive keyword.

Not a necessary action, but a good way to keep your link juice producing blog farms hidden.

  1. If Yahoo does not index your links, do you not lose ranking in Yahoo searches?

  2. Yes you would. However people generally use this when they are automatically generating content.

I spoke to one guy who claimed he was making 5,000 sites per day for the purpose of re-direction and link juice. I am not sure how many domains he was using and most of the sites would have been sub domains with scraped and generated content.

If one of your competitors see's that you have a big blog farm of auto generated content they can report it to google. If you cloak it in yahoo it can hide what you are doing.

If you are doing white hat seo you will never need this. This is purely a tactic used by black hatters to cover their footprints.
